Paris, June 2018: Crescendo finance advises Groupe Leader Insurance in its MBO transaction with investment fund LT Capital
The insurance broker recomposes his capital and returns under the control of his manager Yoann Chery sponsored by LT Capital. The group realizes € 20m turnover. The MBO managed by Crescendo finance is based on a moderate bank debt co-arranged by Société Générale and the Banque Populaire Val de France and is part of the outflow of three individuals: Alain Audouy, Jacques Pelletier and Pierre Dhers. The trio offered 75% of the capital of Asqua Leader Insurance in July 2013, during the merger of their brokerage firm Asqua BTP with Leader Insurance.
Alain Audouy, Jacques Pelletier and Pierre Dhers regain their independence within Asqua BTP (around € 1.5m in turnover), while Yoann Chery relives himself significantly by taking control of the former Asqua Leader Assurances, renamed afterward Groupe Leader Insurance. Already in the capital in minority, the company RMS Courtage also join the operation. With several brands, including Leader Souscription, Leader Assurances and Batirisk, Groupe Leader Insurance, which raised nearly € 100m in premiums in 2017, benefits from a very strong growth momentum. Its activity increased by 30% per year for two years.
"The group intends to continue its strong growth by opening new offers as broker-wholesaler", explains François-Xavier Deren, partner of the fund LT Capital, which signs there the first investment of the FPCI LTC III, which, in process of raising funds, should close its final closing at € 100m by the summer."
"At the same time, we also want to open up relationships with new risk bearers and also plan to do some external growth operation’s by taking over brokerage portfolios facing succession issues." Based in the Yvelines, Groupe Leader Insurance, which employs 70 people between its two businesses, is now aiming for a growth of 15 to 20% per year.
